Sangster Elementary School proudly announces the winners of the 2023-2024 Sangster Outstanding Employee Awards across various categories. The awards recognize the outstanding contributions of individuals who have gone above and beyond in their respective roles.

Outstanding Teacher - Mrs. Yang: “Mrs. Yang has a passion for teaching and
children that is contagious to everyone around her.” “Witnessing the joy that radiates from student’s faces when they see Mrs. Yang is an absolute privilege.”

Outstanding New Teacher - Ms. Sung: "Ms. Sung demonstrates superior
instructional skills by planning creative and engaging art lessons. Her classroom instruction flows like that of an experienced teacher. She embeds culturally responsive teaching
practices by highlighting artists and art forms from a variety of cultures. She fosters self-expression and embraces diversity in this way as well.”

Outstanding Professional Employee - Ms. Biberaj: “Mrs. Biberaj is always willing to go above and
beyond to support me with resources so that I can continue to enrich my students’ learning. When I first came to Sangster, she would help support me and listen to all of my questions. She was a great help and quickly became a dear friend.” “Ms. Biberaj has such a heart for seeing that the needs of all students are met throughout the day.”

Outstanding Operational Employee - Mr. Park: Mr. Park, our diligent custodian, has been recognized as the Outstanding Operational Employee. “Mr. Park is a joy to have at Sangster.” “Each day he takes the time to greet me, and ask me how my day has been. He is an extremely dedicated employee, but more importantly he is a friendly and kind member of our Sangster community.”

Outstanding Leader - Ms. Redford: “Ms. Redford's presence makes you smile when
she enters a room! Her caring heart and smile can put anyone at ease. She’s been a wonderful support and leader to me since I’ve come to Sangster. She encourages me and tells ways to continue to grow as an educator.“

Outstanding Principal - Ms. Jankovich: “Ms. Jankovich runs Sangster efficiently, effectively, and with an open, caring heart. She goes above and beyond to communicate with parents and support student success.”
“She makes school fun and fosters an environment where I feel everyone knows they are appreciated and supported.”
