Sangster once again rocked the Odyssey of the Mind creative problem solving Regional Tournament on March 25, 2023!  This was the first in-person tournament held in Virginia in the past 4 years, so it was especially exciting for many of our newer teams that had never been to an in-person tournament before, as well as our older teams that still remember being two days away from their in-person tournament before it was cancelled at the start of the pandemic and eventually turned into an online format.  It was wonderful to see all the teams compete, and it was an especially exciting awards ceremony — out of Sangster's 17 total teams, over two-thirds ranked in the top 3 spots in their divisions, and a total of 5 teams placed first and are advancing on to the Virginia State Tournament next month!  In addition, a team of Sangster alumni who represented a combined Lake Braddock/West Springfield/Thomas Jefferson team also won first place and will be headed to States as well.
