Thursday Envelopes

Every Thursday Sangster students bring home a yellow envelope with school communications in it. This may include classwork, tests, classroom news, and school flyers. Please review the contents of the envelope, sign the envelope, and return it to school with your child the next school day.

 

Community Flyer Distribution

As outlined by FCPS Regulation 1367.2, school principals shall offer options to nonprofit organizations that would like to make their materials available to students and parents.  For the 2032-24 school year, Sangster will offer two dates when Community Flyers may be sent home with students. Flyers must be related to the schools' educational mission, be age-appropriate, and include the disclaimer "These materials are neither sponsored nor endorsed by the Fairfax County School Board, the Superintendent, or this School” clearly on the flyer.

Community Flyer distribution dates for the 2023-2024 school year are September 28, 2023 and March 9, 2024.  Community organizations should submit an electronic copy of the flyer to the school for approval a minimum of ten business days in advance of the distribution date. Once approved, the organization is required to make 36 sets of 30 copies each for all grade distribution. Copies must be delivered to the school office by 4PM on the Tuesday prior to the Community Flyer distribution date. Questions may be directed to Coretta Britt at @email.
